The Deejays Difference

For the Ka Ora, Ka Ako | Healthy School Lunch Programme, Deejays considered how to promote healthy eating without compromising quality, taste and texture. We want to educate students by providing a tasty menu and at the same time ensure that all nutritional components are met. Deejays has successfully developed menus and service models over many years, and our experience and commitment will ensure we will successfully deliver daily meals for schools participating in the Ka Ora, Ka Ako | Healthy School Lunch Programme

We have designed our menu with appealing choices that young learners will enjoy. Our menus will offer a variety of items over each school term and we will ensure we cater to the special dietary needs of students where necessary.

Customer Feedback

Deejays likes to ‘inspect what we expect’. It is important to us to hear the voice of our customer to ensure we are meeting their needs and expectations. We look to engage with our stakeholders via surveys, focus groups and face to face meetings and we are always happy to hear what the community expects of us. Upon receiving feedback we adapt and make changes where necessary to enhance and improve the expected outcomes for the tamariki, school and community.

Quality and Safety of Lunches

The quality and safety of lunches is vital and Deejays has an approved Food Safety Control Plan in place. Quality assurance inspection and robust testing will be carried out across various stages of our manufacturing prior to dispatch of the meal, and again upon receipt into the school before consumption by the student.
